Super Abilities Social Club

Do you enjoy socialising with other interesting and awesome people? Well then this club might be the right group for you!

S.A.S Club isn't just a club or an event people can attend, its socials with a spin!!

SO HOW DOES THE CLUB WORK?

Beyond Abilities firmly believes that supporting people with a disability to achieve their goals and increase their independence should be fun, inclusive, enjoyable and exciting. We also believe that learning and having fun should go hand in hand.

Our SAS Club's are not just events at different locations and doing an activity, they are a place where all members become a part of the club. With Beyond Abilities support our members take ownership of their club and compete in social, community based competitions against other SAS clubs. These events encourage each member to learn new skills, new information about the world around them, build confidence, communication and interaction skills and above all, make genuine and real friends.

The clubs are supported by our FUNGINEERS (support staff) to make sure everything runs smoothly. Our Fungineers, provide support to the members to help them build a variety of interpersonal and intrapersonal skills whilst completing the challenges and having lots of fun.

WHO IS THE CLUB FOR?

SAS Club is designed for those who are high functioning and mostly independent. Our clubs are run in age group ranges from 15 - 25 years and 25 - 45 years.

To see what we do, click on the group images below for your age group.

Our Fungineers (support staff) are there to provide support at a 1:4 ratio (one staff to four members), therefore it is important that the members are able to stay with the group, work with and engage with other the team members, follow instructions, be independent with personal care and use initiative in most circumstances.

Members are also required to meet the other club members and Fungineers at the meeting point and will return to that meeting point at the end of the event. Unfortunately this program does not offer drop off or pick up services.

If you are unsure if you or someone you support are suited to this program or have mobility needs which require support, please contact us prior to booking.

WHAT LOCATIONS ARE THE SAS CLUBS HELD AT?

Our clubs operate out of a number of locations around the Sydney with more locations opening as we are growing. The locations and competition events are listed below.

WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE PART OF A SAS CLUB?

All events and competitions are of a social nature in warm and friendly environments. They foster an environment of teamwork, friendship, support and fun. The events are specifically designed to provide all our members with a range of social and lifestyle experiences that appeal to a broad range of people and are aimed at assisting our members to learn new skills, expand their networks, make new friends and maybe pick up a new hobby along the way.
