THE BRAVE SOCIETY
If I could have chosen to be gay or straight, I think I would have simply chosen to be HAPPY! ~ Kevin Kidwell
WHAT IS THE BRAVE SOCIETY?
The Brave Society is a program for the LGBTQIA+ community. The aim of the program is to create a safe, secure, and supportive environment whereby a diverse range of individuals can come together to share their emotions and experiences.
We strongly believe in the promotion of diversity, equality, and inclusivity. By educating people about the importance of inclusivity, raising awareness of equality issues, and advocating for diversity, we can help create a positive change in society. The Brave Society program is about positive social networking and supporting each other to build confidence and make genuine friendships. This is a safe and supportive space which allows for participants to discuss a range of topics which may be of interest or concern without judgement or prejudice.
It is important to us that you feel comfortable to speak openly and freely. Consequently, we have hand selected staff who identify as being part of the LGBTQIA+ community and/or who have supported others through their LGBTQIA+ journey. We want you to be heard, understood, and feel empowered.
As with all our programs, these groups will be small and age appropriate to enhance your overall experience. We have two online group sessions: session one (15-18) and session two (18+). As restrictions begin to ease and we are safe to enter the community, Beyond Abilities will have numerous events planned to offer further support, education, and fun in addition to our group discussions.
If you are looking for a unique way to learn, build your confidence and connect with others in the LGBTQIA+ community in a fun and safe way, then get in touch with our team by submitting an enquiry or by contacting us.
